Darci's Review
This guide to ADHD is a beautifully crafted workbook for people diagnosed with ADHD, parents or families of people diagnosed with ADHD, and for anyone who wishes to know more about how ADHD impacts people's lives.

Many peoples knowledge of ADHD comes from the media which typically presents it as a young hyperactive boy's disorder. Although some people do present in these ways, it is best to find understanding through people's lived experience and psychiatric advice. ADHD presents in many ways, and its symptoms are not a 'one size fits all' for diagnosis. Because of sexism and racial prejudice in the health system, doctors are finding that symptoms do not always present externally and can manifest differently due to environmental and genetic factors.

In this interactive and informative guide, Moriah lays out the symptoms of ADHD in an easy-to-process way for learners of all different types, with sections of blank space provided for taking notes. Learning about ADHD and other disabilities that generate different ways of thinking is the first step in creating a more accessible world to different neurological types.

Whether you think that you or someone you know may have ADHD symptoms, it's always best to discuss this first with a GP.

Publisher's Review

An essential guide to understanding Attention Deficit / Hyperactivity Disorder - commonly known as ADHD - for people with ADHD and their families, friends and workmates.

Chanelle Moriah was officially diagnosed with ADHD at 22, and soon discovered just how inaccessible a lot of information can be for ADHD adults and those who may not yet have been able to obtain an assessment or supports.

Chanelle has created a simple resource that explains what ADHD is and how it can impact the different areas of someone's life. This is ADHD is a tool for both diagnosed and undiagnosed people with ADHD to explain or make sense of their experiences. It also offers non-ADHD people the chance to learn more about ADHD from someone who has it.

With clear sections explaining the many aspects of ADHD, accompanied by Chanelle's beautiful illustrations, and with space for readers to write down their thoughts, this book is designed to be personalised to the individual's experience.

This is ADHD helps people feel less alone in their ADHD and brings knowledge to an often-misunderstood condition.
